AFTAS: a bridge of transparency between you and those who are waiting
From the douars of the Atlas to the most remote villages, the AFTAS Association for Development and Solidarity gathers your donations around identified projects: a name, a place, a costing. We do not ask you to take our word for it. We give you the means to check for yourself: a numbered donation receipt, the contact details of the beneficiary or their local representative, and then the completion video with its invoices.
The « ارحموا من في الأرض يرحمكم من في السماء » programme
“Be merciful to those on earth, and He who is in heaven will be merciful to you.” It is under this title that the association’s work is organised: drilling wells, opening up isolated douars, rehousing widows, urgent surgery, sponsoring orphans, distributing the Eid sacrifice. Fieldwork, filmed as it happens, published once it is done.

Four ways to give
Each has its own horizon and intention: what leaves a lasting trace, what admits no delay, what is honoured month after month, and what is discharged because it is owed.

Ongoing charity
Wells and water points, mosques, tracks that open up mountain hamlets. A gift whose effect does not stop the day you stop giving.

Emergencies and health
Surgery, heavy treatment, equipment for rural clinics. Here, time is part of the need.

Sponsorship — Kafala
Orphans, widows raising children alone, families whose home is close to collapse. A monthly commitment in the name of one named family.

Zakat
A fund kept separately, from which no running costs are taken, and which is distributed only to the eight prescribed categories.
Projects open right now
The meters below move with every validated donation. And when a project reaches 100% of its goal, the appeal closes automatically: we never collect beyond the need we have announced.
Transparency, in three steps
Our promise does not rest on an annual report nobody reads, but on a receipt you send to the beneficiary yourself.
1. You give
You choose the project and the amount; the association’s bank details then appear, together with a transfer reference unique to your order. You make the transfer, you upload the bank advice, the treasurer validates it, and your numbered donation receipt is issued as a PDF.
2. You tell them
The receipt carries the contact details of the beneficiary or their local representative. You are the one who sends it to them, by WhatsApp, in a single tap. Nobody stands between the two of you, and we do not claim to have told them on your behalf.
3. You check
When the project is delivered, the completion video and the scanned invoices are published on its page. The QR code printed on your receipt takes you straight there, whenever you feel like looking.
Double transparency in detail, from donor to beneficiary and from the field back to you
Giving every month, however little
A well is not dug in a week, and an orphan does not eat once a year. It is regular giving that lets us make a commitment to a family or a douar before an appeal is fully funded. You set the amount, you honour it by bank transfer, and you stop whenever you wish, without having to explain yourself.
